[ Chara's going to be ringing his number posthaste. ]

Sebastian is on his land, working on watering the crops. Splitting his time working as a butler and farming, there’s too many tasks he has to do and he simply need a helping hand to finish his endless task.

Phone ringing, he picks it up and answers it.

“Hello, Sebastian speaking..?”

"Hi there."

There's a bit of a pause. Chara's not used to introducing themselves, even xx years after the reason they were ever quiet at all.

"... I'm Chara. I can harvest crops, I just can't grow them. And I'm a lot stronger than I look, so don't worry."

Trying to occupy your time is hard... fortunately, Chara is quick to pick up on these things-- stuff like quests and the like. They know why. Sometimes you don't leave a video game without the desire to chase after that stuff.

Hm, interesting. That voice...is a sound of a child. Well, he had seen children needing to work, regardless if they are accompanied by parents or not. And anyway, he figured she just needs money like everyone else.

"That's fine. I need a helping hand with picking up the crops. All you need to do is run around, pull them out, and put them in a shipping box. If you think that's something you can do, come meet me today and give it a try for a few hours, even if it's just for two hours of your time. I'll pay you for your efforts and lunch will be on me."

He texts her the location of his farm and gave her directions to her phone.

It's a while before Chara arrives-- with all these new farms, it's a long hike from one to another if you're following the path and not crossing through someone else's yard. They wanted to follow the directions exactly, with a basket in tow. At first, they're surprised at how well manicured this place is... already, even! Their own yard is a mess, but a barren mess. Testing out the tools had been fun for chopping things down and clearing out the area.

After a few moments of deliberation as they look over this pristine place, they knock on the door.

"It's me."

Pinned on the board in a corner is a note. It is written in very neat handwriting (complete with serifs and all), all of the letters are capitalized to help with legibility as the handwriting is small. Capital letters are larger than the rest.

Muscle for Hire

[ OOC: The writing is like this but I'm super bad at explaining. This is forever open to anyone of any combat level who wants to explore far outside of the city - she has taken down Lovecraftian style gods before and does not frighten easily. (Read: if ur character can't combat and wants to explore she's your woman.) ]

Sebastian opened the door, wearing a apron over his butler uniform. He stared at the child with some thoughtful consideration.

"Chara, correct? Ah well, you're quite late. I already finished gathering the crops from the garden since this morning." He said.

"However, I am making lunch and baking some desserts. Do you see the chicken coop over there?" Pointing to one of the buildings on his land and he gives her a wicker basket. "I just realized I ran out of eggs in the fridge. I'm making egg salad for lunch today. If you can gather all the eggs and put them in here and bring those eggs back to me than I'll give you a sweet from my table as a reward."

Well, whatever Sebastian is cooking over the stove and by the oven smells real good.

"Hmmm..."

Chara's always had a weakness for sweets. They nod, and set off to do the task they've been entrusted with. They take no time in doing so, briskly snatching every egg and setting it in the basket. They don't even swing it as they approach, taking great restraint in chasing after their prize (whatever it is he's cooking.)

"Here you go," Chara hums, setting the basket on the counter with a bit of a stretch. "Now then, sweets?"

One track mind.

On the board today is a notice from Toshinori. It's a simple note.

Help Wanted
"Looking for one or two individuals to help me clear my farm. I am still suffering from injury and while I am healing, I could use a bit of help for a week or two to keep my farm being overrun by weeds and tall grass. I have a silo I need filling as well with the cut tall grass, and it would be appreciated to get some help to fill it. Breaks and Lunch provided, morning shift."

There's a number on the paper and directions to his place.

Sebastian is surprised. She managed to bring him back a basket full of eggs. Not a single one is broken. Meanwhile, Sebastian busied himself, making final arrangements to his lunch, a lunch for his Master and for his friends too, and a lunch for Chara.

Though the truth is, he gives Chara a simple task, a simple chore, just as a start. It didn't feel right to him to pressure a child to do manual labor. But what Chara did is quite plenty of help.

"Well done, Chara. Not a single egg broken." With a smile, because the demon knows how to praise someone and reward them. "I have people who worked for me in the past, and they sometimes broke an egg accidentally."

Taking the basket from her, he smiled at her. "I'm not sure if you enjoy egg salad with avocado sandwiches and apple fritters." He point to her lunch on the counter. "But that's your lunch. If you preferred something else, I made other types of sandwiches like salmon and tuna to name a few."

His phone began to ring. It was coming from his neighbor whom he helped being a farmhand a few days ago. When he picked it up.

"Hello, is this Horatio? It's Sebastian. I saw your post on the notice board a few days ago. I thought about it and I think I might have what you need. I'm not sure it's what you're looking for, but it's worth having a look."

[At the top of the board, in about as much in the center as could be managed without covering up any other messages, is an ad that's written in carefully neat writing.]

[She doesn't need much assistance really! But she appreciates it. It's more like she's assisting people and introducing them to the wildlife of Starhue valley. Still, it was morning when she receives the phone call. She already fed her ligers and they're good to go.

She's in the town square eating breakfast for herself. Her phone rang and it turns it's an inquiry for work.]

Hi, hello? Who is this? Well, if you're interested in joining me, it's going to be a hike through the woods. And it's hot too, so when the afternoon comes and that's when we go back to town. So wear something light and bring extra water and lunch for yourself. Also wear gloves if you need to. The last time somebody joined me, she picked a herb and it turns out she's allergic to it and she got rashes all over.

Also, I work with monsters called ligers. They come with me everywhere and I go and they helped me carry my goods back to the village. I hope you're not allergic to big cats.
