Mining Mingle!
GATHERING
Posters had begun to go up, written in many languages and given many different names, but it was clear. A big mining trip had been planned, but the one who signed the papers seemed to neglect a name. People could keep what they got! Outside, however, a small wisp of darkness had been left - holding equipment. It doesn't seem to know exactly how to explain what's going to happen - seeming to mumble about green pigs and nice rocks.
Or, if you're not going in, why not catch up with some friends? There's also food which has been left out - fresh fruits and the like.
Entering the mines, however, there's an old minecart... and stairs downwards. Seems there's no instructions... but there's rusted old weapons scattered around. And pickaxes.
INSIDE THE MINES
It doesn't take long for anybody to find things in the mines - though it begins as just stone and coal, soon people will be finding copper ore, amethyst, topaz, quartz - and even earth crystals! Just watch out - if you hit a rock wrong, you might get knocked back a little. Or some of the old mine might cave in...! There's stairs further and further downwards.
However... there seems to be somebody very invested in certain walls, running their hands against them. If you mine there? There seems to be a heavier rock, even if it looks like coal.
MONSTERS
Of course, the darkness lures creatures. There's slimes, sure. There's also bats, and Rock Crabs - perhaps even blocking your pickaxe! And there's also Slimes. But if you're not careful...
Well, the Green Pigs the weird wisp was whispering about? Actually Creepers. Some seem to be electrocuted, even! Make sure you don't fall down and lose your wealth! Are you going to protect somebody, or not? Or are you cutting though them easily?
MISC
Or did you have something else in mind?

Until he looked to the things he'd been gathering. ] ...It's not Eorzean in origin, but I'm starting to figure it out.
no subject
Well, no. I thought it kind of felt the same, but- I didn't do a lot of that. Does that mean you are thinking of something?
no subject
My only plan's to fix up my arm, right now. There's a few things I need, but... hells. Need to show up that damned Scaeva. Anybody who knew that other Cid. I'm not him.
no subject
Well, that's not a bad plan! And I'm sure he could handle being shown up. [she nods.] Right. So- what do you need?
no subject
Until he tsks a little, and hides it again. ] ...Copper. Seems to conduct electricity, if what I've seen around town is right.
no subject
[ugh. She wants to hit something, but…. Well, this is something they can do, at least.] We might be in luck, then! It looks like there's a good amount down here.
no subject
He'll sigh, though, as he stretches. ] Might need to re-forge my arm - the ceruleum engines are too deeply entwined in this one. And with Sca-- Nero around, that'll be a pain.
no subject
Start it over entirely? I guess… I mean, it'd save you having to rework it again, if… anything happened. You don't get along?
no subject
But he then huffed. ] Can't help but want to keep the first one safe for when I go home. Prime universe or not, won't want to lose it. [ But at the latter bit, Cid rolled his eyes. ] He's-- it's hard to not see him as the traitor from my timeline. And now he claims he was in my role.
no subject
Well, of course! I'm sure you could make the adjustments, but- this is easier, right? [she's just gonna make a face.] By which you mean trapped?
no subject
[ ........wait a second ]
Loyal to Gaius - saying he didn't want to leave. Probably still loyal, I don't care. [ He cares a lot. ] It's wrong.
no subject
So- wait, but he was the one who left in your timeline? But this one- who's here- didn't want to?
no subject
...He left Garlemald, after I failed to escape. Became a traitor. But this one-- isn't a traitor. Isn't a traitor at all... [ His voice seems to lower to a hiss, before-- Fordola can't help but come out, horned and all.
Because fuck this. Cid can't help but give a judging look, but she remains behind Yda. ] --Me an' her are from the same world. [ She explained, but put her head close to Yda with a soft huff. ] We have to figure it out. [ It being how much their worlds are close. Did that happen to her? ]
no subject
Ah. [did what Cid wasn't able to do, another words. She frowns.] That's- not the same, then. Makes him someone to be careful of, huh?
[she reaches out to Fordola, draping her arm over Fordola loosely.] Gotta figure out where the differences lie. [because- maybe this would explain a few things.]
no subject
It's not. But-- he looks a lot like the one I knew. It's hard. [ To separate them, he means. But Fordola just has to speak up. ]
If he did that-- if you restored Ultima Weapon, d'you think it worked the same in all of these... places?
...Likely. [ Cid replied, averting his gaze. ] Don't imagine it'd have a different purpose.
no subject
It's got to be. I mean- if we had someone else appear that we both knew- they'd probably look similar to how we knew them, right? As a guess. Unless there was really a reason…
That'd… that'd make sense. Same principle, right…?
no subject
...Why're you two ladies so interested in Ultima, anyway? [ Cid can't help but ask. ]
no subject
[oh. shit. well it's natural to wonder right…]. Well- it sounds pretty impressive, doesn't it? And powerful- wouldn't it be worrying if something else turned up like that?
no subject
But he looks proud. ] Hah. If it did, I'd help it become loyal to me and me alone.
no subject
[so this is actually better? kind of??] That definitely sounds possible, and then it'd protect you, right?
