"Coffee it is. Just dropped by my house to pick it up." He said. "Now I have to prepare in the kitchen, so I shall see you when you come by."
Sebastian hung up and works in the kitchen to prepare the coffee and sweets, which he made by hand in the kitchen, and baking them in the oven. He made the pastries based on the recipe books he found from the Valley's library books.
When Horatio arrived, and Sebastian beckon him to enter his house, the entire house is smelled of warm smells of whatever is being baked inside the oven - rolls, cookies, cakes, just to name a few. If he made extras, he could sell those for the evening crowd.
"Your books are on the kitchen table." And there it was, a set of math books on the kitchen, stacked neatly on top of each other with topics ranging from algebra, calculus and geometry. "The books showed up in my mailbox the other day. But I already mastered these subjects in my youth, so I'm sure it will be better if it's in your hands."

Archie would be proud. He can feel that somewhere in his gut.
"--hm?" Learning to speak full sentences the first time he's asked is still a bit spotty. Horatio slings the empty backpack around to his front, fingers smoothing reverently against the cover of the top volume in the stack indicated. "Just-- showed up?"
no subject
"Indeed. I don't recall ordering them. There's no note or anything, but the books are brand new." But then again, stranger things happened, and Sebastian wondered if this is the Harvest Goddess doing? He is used to supernatural powers and their workings in the lives of mortals, being one himself, though, under the guise of being a butler, the demon's role and appearance to humans is really unassuming.
Sebastian laid down plates of sweets and a silver tray with a pot and a cups, where he filled the black coffee. "By the way, would you like milk and sugar in your coffee?"
no subject
"Hm." His attention stays riveted a moment longer before he can properly blinks up at Sebastian. "Black is fine. You really-- don't mind me borrowing them?"
no subject
"You can keep it as long as you like, take it with you when you go home, and return it whenever you could. I don't need it. If you lost it, no need to stress over it. I'm just glad the books can be of use of you and is in good hands."

The coffee is tempting. The possibility of simply sitting and pouring through pages of numbers is almost seductive. But the idea of someone not caring whether a precious resource is returned feels distractingly shocking.
