[At this point, people have probably seen a few miqo'te by now. At first, Irhya keeps her face hidden, but seems to have a change of heart shortly thereafter, brushing some hair out of her face as she adjusts the frame. For coming from a world that is so technologically limited in the face of -- this... she sure has adapted quickly.
There is something apprehensive about the way her eyes dart back and forth, about the initial pause before she starts speaking, but it's easily forgettable once she finds her stride.]
Let me just preface this by saying that where I'm from, animal husbandry is forbidden. Fear of upsetting the forest and all that... though frankly I've always thought the Elementals need to stop being such temperamental little shites in the first place. Anyway, dairy is understandably scarce because of it, and imports are scarce as well as prohibitively expensive, so most of the populace lives on grown produce and wild game.
Which brings me to my problem. I have no interest in playing around in the dirt, but I suppose raising animals doesn't sound all that bad. Especially when I, personally, have a lot more use for wool and milk than most things that come from plants. But I also don't know the first damn thing about it.
[After she confesses, the top half of a sheep becomes visible at the bottom of the frame, and she leans down a little to stroke it. There also seems to be something black and furry skulking about on a hay bale behind her; a cat, most likely.]
So! I normally don't do this, but I would like to propose a trade. If there's anyone willing to help me with my little problem -- showing me the basics, hanging around to lend a hand, whatever works -- I can probably craft a few things in return. Tools, clothing, medicines... actually, it's probably easier just to pitch what you need from me and I'll decide case-by-case. I'm not yet familiar with what kinds of materials might be available here, but I think we can make something work out, right?
Just one rule: if you end up getting indecisive on me, I'm defaulting to cooking.
[She makes as if to end the recording, but hesitates, struck with a second thought.]
Oh, and one more thing. If anyone here happens to be a native to Eorzea, I have a few questions for you.

At the moment, though, sitting on my hands and waiting isn't really an option, so...

[The blunt enunciation says it all; that is way more troublesome than she was anticipating. Damn it.]
So, wait, I have to play cow matchmaker before I do anything with it? Ah, but how silly of me to assume I wouldn't have to do things the hard way...

I would check to see if she is giving milk before making that assumption. She might be ready for you.

...R-Right.
[A few moments later:]
I-- I think so? Hopefully this means I don't have to deal with that just to get the ball rolling, at least.
As for the sheep... I know how to use a loom already, and the other two shouldn't be difficult to procure. I think maybe keeping fowl might be a good thing to try, too, right? Eggs were also among such difficult to obtain items.
...Admittedly, I do like dairy a lot more than the soy-based stuff Gridania uses in its stead. Maybe I'm just desensitized to it at this point, though.

{ Has he mentioned he wants a dog? A really big dog. Like a wolfhound. He would definitely take care of them. }
I have not tried soy-based products. What do they taste like?

It's just different when you take on a responsibility willingly than when it's saddled onto you whether you like it or not.]
...I guess so. I'm probably just weighing myself down by worrying so much.
Soy? I suppose it depends. Most of the time they end up getting fermented, but the tonic has to be brewed from dried beans. It's not hard to override the flavor with something else by cooking it a certain way, though, since it's really bland on its own. Which... is a common complaint about Gridanian cuisine, incidentally.
